In Hindu law marriage is sacred..........it is  coming together of two individuals (of opposite sex) to live all their life together............and perhaps for seven births!! A very long time to predict specialy when tomorrow is unpredictable. Anyway that's not what i wanted to write about..........if matrimony is sacred how can it be "a partnership" seems more like a contract between two parties to me. What is noticeable is that in muslim law, marriage/nikah is a contract.

"Choosing the 'right life partner' is very important." this is said by almost everyone when a girl or a boy is eligible to tie the knot. But how can we decide who is the 'right one'?

I have heard people say matching horoscopes is a good option or rather the best way........"americans dont do that so they end up in divorces.......(as if every american family has a divorce culture). Others say, choosing your partner yourself is the best way....afterall the most important ingredient for a happy marriage is understanding (But 'understanding' what it really implies is never explained). Those who are cynical or feel too strongly about their own sex or are either gays or lesbians dont think of marriage in the traditional way in which a 'normal indian 'would.So marriage to me is the most complicated concept in the world.

Inspite of all this the question remains........how to find the correct life partner? To this some have said that no body is right or wrong, if you want only then can you make the relationship work...basically its about the relationship that's born after marriage and not about the person you marry. But what do you do when the person you are married to is not your kinds (watch provoked, i have even studied the kiranjit case and its scary to even think about a situation like that)?
